Entry Requirements

Applicants should normally:

  • Possess a Level 3 qualification or an equivalent qualification
  • Have completed secondary education with appropriate academic achievement
  • Hold relevant professional or vocational qualifications, or
  • Possess relevant work experience and demonstrate the ability to study at the required level

Applicants whose first language is not English should demonstrate sufficient English-language proficiency to complete the programme successfully. Applications from mature learners with relevant professional experience may be considered on an individual basis.

Progression

Successful completion may support progression to the final year of a related bachelor’s degree, subject to the receiving university’s admission and credit-transfer requirements. Possible routes include Information Technology, Computing, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering or Business Information Systems degrees. Graduates may also pursue employment in software development, IT support, systems analysis, networking, database administration, cybersecurity, cloud computing, data analytics and IT project coordination.
